Previous Show Winners and Awards
About the Prize Awards
Ribbons are awarded based on a standard of excellence. Each year, these special prizes are awarded:
- Judges' Choice
- This is awarded by our judge to her favorite entry.
- Guild Choice
- This award is voted by our Guild Members.
- Popular Choice
- This award is voted by the public who visited the show.
- Joyce Merrill Award
- This is awarded by our judge to an original design or adaptation that shows
exceptional creativity. The award is named in memory of Joyce Merrill, who
taught a great number of our educational program sessions. This was first awarded in 2004.
- Best in Show
- This is awarded by our judge to the piece which shows the best workmanship.
- Triathlon Prize
- Stitchers who enter at least three of our categories are eligible for The
Triathlon Prize. The best score in each category is used, and the best three
of these are averaged to determine the highest score. The stitcher with the
highest average score receives this prize. This was first awarded in 2003. In 2002,
we awarded The Pentathlon Prize based on entries in five categories.

We had a total of 29 stitchers enter 124 pieces in 2011. Nancy Wright was our show
chairman, and Pat Donaldson was our Judge. The following ribbons were awarded:

We had a total of 34 stitchers enter 99 pieces in 2010. Nancy Wright was our show
chairman, and Karen Wojahn was our Judge. The following ribbons were awarded:

We did not have a judged show in 2001. Instead, we had an Exhibit. A total of 17 stitchers

We had a total of 38 stitchers enter 91 pieces in 2000. Kathy Huber was our show
chairman, and Terry Brown was our Judge. The following ribbons were awarded:
